Cardiologists
Joshua Penn, MD FACC RVT is CEO and Founder of
Joshua Penn MD, a Medical Corporation. Dr. Penn brings to
bear a high level of clinical expertise in cardiology and
cardiovascular imaging, but also a strong background in digital imaging
and network protocols, as well as information and storage
technology.
Dr. Penn earned his undergraduate and medical degrees at Brown University. He completed his residency in internal medicine and fellowship in cardiology at The Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. Following that, he entered private practice in Beverly Hills, California and sees patients on a daily basis.
He is board-certified in internal medicine, cardiology, and echocardiography, and is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. He has published many articles and abstracts, focusing on congestive heart failure and vascular biology.
In conjunction with the Cedars-Sinai
Medical Care Foundation, Dr. Penn has extensive experience in the creation
and direction of multiple disease state management programs, in areas
including hyperlipidemia, anticoagulation, hypertension, and congestive
heart failure.
Dr. Penn has lectured extensively at hundreds of
meetings and seminars on topics including congestive heart failure, HTN,
lipids, and cardiovascular risk. Sponsors include The American Heart
Association, The Heart Care Partnership, Cedars-Sinai Medical Care
Foundation, and leading pharmaceutical companies such as Merck, Novartis,
Bristol-Myers Squibb, Sanofi Winthrop and Genentech.
Dr. Peled graduated from Rutgers College with their highest honors. He completed medical school at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where he graduated with distinction for research in cardiology. He did his fellowship at University Hospital in Boston and returned to Albert Einstein for his cardiology fellowship. Dr. Peled is board certified in internal medicine, cardiology and comprehensive echocardiography. He has a broad knowledge of medicine as reflected in his additional board certifications in geriatrics, critical care and palliative medicine. In addition to reading echocardiographic studies, Dr. Peled has read and taught echocardiography at UC Irvine as voluntary faculty. He now serves as an assistant clinical professor at USC, where he has been part of the echocardiography service.
Dr. Peled is also director of inpatient cardiology and critical care at St Jude Medical Center in Fullerton California. He interprets well over 3,000 echoes a year and performs over 300 transesophageal echoes annually. His range of publications includes several in the field of echocardiography and congestive heart failure as well as letters published in the New England Journal of Medicine.

Dr. Seward's knowledge and experience is derived from 30+ years of practice at the Mayo Clinic and building a world renowned, high volume Noninvasive Echocardiography Hemodynamic Laboratory which has culminated in the creation of a novel state-of-the-art knowledge base method. Dr. Seward, one of the foremost Echocardiography experts and co-author of The Echo Manual.
